Hello and introduction

Holiday Greetings from cold and snowy southeastern Colorado. Thank you, Anne Whitfield, for creating this site for networking about historical fiction. A little more about me...I grew up on a cattle/horse ranch, I spent years following the amateur rodeo circuit, raced thoroughbred horses, went to grad school, did time as a special education administrator, and now I work part-time to support my writing habit. The American west from 1830's to 1915-ish is the comfort zone of my writing time period with my favorite being 1885-1890, right when the open range was closing and the gunfighter wasn't quite obsolete yet. I have three western historical romances published with Cobblestone Press and will have a short story in a series (In the Cards, The Vampire Oracle: Life) at Cobblestone in the summer of 2008.
