Hi Danielle, the log in process itself at Red Room is daunting, you simply have to persevere with their crazy repeat click system, it took me an hour to get in there. But the backlinks alone are worth it. The new cover is is in my attachments abo...

A complete makeover

Hi, I've been sort of busy. The website www.newhistoricalfictionbooks.co.uk is now on page one of every search engine for loads of different search terms. I have also totally rewritten my novel and submitted it to a literary agent who liked it and it went on to the Legend Press youwrite Arts Council sponsored free publication list. It will be published before Christmas and at least this time it has been read, edited and if anything it is far gorier than the original. We went into colloquialisms… Continue

Historic Research Facility

Greetings - I have created this page on the website and very good it is too!!
http://www.newhistoricalfictionbooks.co.uk/historical-documents-from-the-1800s/

Also I have totally rewritten The Black Box and am talking with a publisher that does not charge £200.00

Searches are being made almost hourly on 'New Historic Books' so all those of you with books feautured there should see an increase in sales.

Print on Demand

Hi everyone. Tonight I am on BBC Radio Cambridge at around 8.20pm. I'm being interviewed by Sue Marchant and it goes out live. I will not only (hopefully!) be giving a chat on 'The Black Box' and my guitar work but also about P.O.D. - I was introduced to Diggory Press by James McCarraher who wrote 'A Glass of Champagne' and the best seller 'An Office Haunting'. What annoys James and I is that it is so hard to talk to a POD publisher. I sent a draft copy of 'The Black Box' and guess what they pri… Continue

The Black Box by William Cook

My book is set in 1685 at the time of the Monmouth Rebellion. It tells the tale of Michael Fane and takes you to the Battle of Sedgemoor to the courtroom of the famed 'Hanging Judge' George Jeffreys. Then on to the high seas with the famed 'Captain Blood'. Daniel DeFoe also appears as in real life he was a soldier of fortune at that time and also appeared before Judge Jeffreys.

Hi, David--I'm going to choose this name for you--you do have more than one. First, I became caught up in the discussion on POD's, which led me to the New Historical Fiction Books site. Then, I became involved in your page. I read your "extract" (we call them excerpts) of THE BLACK BOX, and good lord! How do you think of all that? The writing is superb. I do hope you will become a best seller with your talent.
(Forgive my book cover on my notes--I made an error when I set up my page, and I don't know how to correct it. But you can go to my page if you're dying to see my face.)
Also, You might read my blog about Tim's manuscript. it's not a real review, but I wanted to make comments about the story for his benefit.

Hello, ctabuk--may I add you as a friend? I haven't noticed your photo before, so I assume you're rather new. My main writing is not straight historical, even though I love it and "do it on the side." I write Western Historical Romances for the Wild Rose Press. The first is soon to be released, and I have a second contract in the wings. If you'd like more names added to your page, feel free to add mine. Celia Yeary www.celiayeary.com
