British Ledgers Day One

Welcome to British Ledgers, a blog for those who love Britannia! I considered calling this Amiable Anglophiles, but thought better of it. This blog will be dedicated to the love of all things British. Books, movies, tea, visits to England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, obsessing over British history, words, and customs all weaved into my life as an Inspirational author with an British fancy. Although this seems like an inexhaustible supply of information, I’d like to have snippets from my readers. T… Continue

Thank you very much, Therese, for your kind comments and forwarding the link to my blog.

Sadly I'm not Scottish, but German. I live here because I love Scotland and consider myself Scottish at heart. It helps that I have Scottish ancestors, though, and am getting married to a half-Scot, half-Englishman... :)

Yup, it's a school/teacher photo from when I was an educational therapist. I'm not admitting how old this photo is, but there are some here who have met me and can just about guess.
I thought about putting up my favorite pix of me, from when I was one year old and sitting on my big teddy bear, but this one was already scanned into my computer, and therefore accessible.

Hi Therese,

While I didn't coin the term "Celtophile," it certainly does describe me. And my Celtic hero plans to take me and our 2 kids to Ireland the summer of 2009!

It's nice to "meet" you here!

Um, because I am a computer illiterate and anything that works is the exception. If you actually get this I will be rather satisfied that it happened, though not sure why it did!!! If I ever get a good photo of me posted, it will be with the help of my computer-saavy husband. Afterall, I don't need to 'get it' if he can do it for me! I'm saving my natural brilliance for other things.....I'll let you know if I find any.

Hi Therese,

I AM Proud that you joined. You have so much to offer. Email me back about 'His Writers'. Also I sent you a note about 'Cranford' coming to PBS in May.

We've had some lively discussions here. I started one about defining the historical genre that really got interesting.
