I've written two historical novels set in fourteenth-century England: The Traitor's Wife: A Novel of the Reign of Edward II, and Hugh and Bess: A Love Story. Both will be reissued in 2009 by Sourcebooks, Inc. I'm working on a third novel set during the Wars of the Roses that features Henry Stafford, Duke of Buckingham, and his wife, Katherine Woodville. Stop by my website for excerpts, short pieces on medieval history, and more!

Hello Susan. Thank you for inviting me to share your space. I love England too..or more like it...Roman Britain or Britannia! That's me. However, I love the all time periods. I saw your video. Outstanding. Loved it. Looks good. My best to ya.
Oh, mid-century. Tis a love story. :) I write what I love to read, and that's a good solid story strong on characterization and low on political goings-on. I like to imagine the lives of people living on the edge rather than in the midst of royalty, etc. Hm...more akin to Chadwick and Riley, although my writing style has been compared to E. Pargeter.... How many books have you published, and with whom, Susan? I think it's interesting that you also like Anne Tyler--you are the first enthusiast I've met. I so admire her work.
Thanks for your comment about my gown! I have and continue to learn so much. An interesting project that actually makes me want to do more (a bit of a shock, that)...
It's odd, but I left a message yesterday but it doesn't seem to have gotten through.
I've heard good things about your books and hope to get to them sometime soon. I love historical fiction. I got into it indirectly when a friend of mine implored me to "do something" with the diary of his ancestor, a countess in 1790s Poland. The result, many years later, was my first book.

May your year be a great one!
