Hi Sandra - I was JUST talking about you with my 11 year old daughter, as we are making her costume for colonial day and discussing period-appropriate details as only a 5th grader can...I told her about your dress at the reading at Great Good Place for Books and she was fascinated. Alas hers will not be QUITE as detailed but I did bow to her contention that lace-trimmed petticoats may be cute, but not what a colonial girl would wear.
Hi Anne, I'm glad you enjoyed the videos--very basic, but I'm enjoying learning how to do all this internet tech stuff. I had hoped to get a full video showing the complexity of getting into the dress, but the video battery gave out. And so this fancy tech stuff comes back to the basic things: a charged battery!
Welcome, Sandra. Your novel, Mistress of the Sun, sounds great. Please jump into the forums. I'd love to learn as much as possible about writing from authors like you.

I watched your youtube video of your talk about the dress you were wearing and found it very interesting.
