I am a keen writer of short stories and novels, but most of my work has a keen historical slant in that I tend to base my stories at a quite specific period of time. Unpublished so far, alas, but I'm working on it, hard!
I am also a history graduate and historical accuracy matters to me a great deal. I'm into social history, by the way, not kings and queens and palaces.
Favourite Books
"Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen.
"Rebecca" by Daphne du Maurier
"The Go-Between" by L P Hartley.
"Bleak House" by Charles Dickens
"The Tenant of Wildfell Hall" by Emily Bronte.
"To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee.
