I grew up in England and now live in Canada with my husband and two gorgeous daughters. This year I became a full time writer. I write Regency Romance for Sourcebooks Inc and short stories for Highland Press in the Regency and Victorian eras.
Just returned from Australia, where I signed The Lady Flees Her Lord and No Regrets. Best of all I got to meet some wonderful authors and readers who love historical romance..
I was reading through the forum on publishers and agents. I see that you have been published through Highland Press. I went to their website and I feel that my new historical would fit what they are looking for. However, I am leary about small presses, having been burned previously by one.
May I ask how they are working out for you? Do they have bookstore distrubution or all they solely internet sales.
I've been looking for an agent for two years with no success. The majority like my novel but say either it isn't for them or they have a full clients list. I'm a bit frustrated right now. So, I am wondering if I should go directly to publishers.
Yes, I've been hanging around Ning for a few months now. There are several groups here, and Keely started Faery World, although I haven't officially asked anyone to sign up yet. There are a few members, though. I think this is one of the best spaces around.

Your thoughts on Highland Press?

You don't have to worry about sizing because Ning reduces the graphic to fit in the space. :) This picture was way too large.
