I did read your interview Simon, very interesting, as I was not aware of the genre, Historical fantasy, and I am prone to want to investigate it further. You mentioned the writer, Guy Gavriel Kay. Wouldn't that be funny if he and Susan Kay were re...

How true you are here! I most heartily agree. I have come to find this as my own experience. Whenever I read a book about some historical figure or event, if the facts become diluted or deranged, I simply think of the author as one who does not kn...

The Deep Forest I write about is a mythical place in the Michigan wilderness, circa 1600. The Deep Forest albums I listen to most are; Boheme, Comparsa, Essence of the Forest, Music Detected, World Mix and Live Japan......they are all wonderful

The Deep Forest novels connection to the French band Deep Forest is not entirely coincidental. When I write I listen to their songs. They are my favorite recording artists and I have (as far as I know) their entire library.

Hi. Its good to meet someone with a bloodline as mixed as mine. In the 1800's Mauritius was a French colony then British then French and finally British. So, like Canada, there are two distinct language groups, French and English. My maternal great, great grandfather was a Mauritian of French descent and left Mauritius for South Africa to farm sugar. Like those Canadians who are french speaking and call themselves French Canadian, my grandparents were French Mauritian. Hope this helps...........
