I'm Italian and currently live close to Washington DC.
I moved from Heidelberg, Germany to the US in 2005.
After several years working as an Italian instructor and financial translator from German and English, I now teach Italian language and culture at George Mason University.
I'm very interested in the social and cultural history of Renaissance and Baroque Italy.
My research focuses, in particular, on everyday life in 16th and 17th-century Naples.
I enjoy reading historical fiction and I'm presently working on a contemporary novel set in Naples.

Ken Follett, Pillars of the Earth

Hey, Laura! Thanks for asking about the book. It's my first romance time travel, nothing too daring. My heroine, an instructor of women's studies, travels in time from modern day to 1900 on a train from Chicago to Seattle. I seem to have some sort of interest in the late Victorian era, turn of the century, changes in women's life, etc.
