I hold a Ph.D. in French literature and specialize in the French Renaissance. My first novel, the story of a female poet's struggle to publish her works in 16th century Lyon, is represented by Stephanie Cabot of The Gernert Company. I am currently at work on a second novel, set at Francis I's court at Fontainebleau in 1539.

Hi Julianne,

I just looked up the title, which is available in French only, at amazon. Since I write in English, my French is very rusty, but it sounds like a book I might like. Thanks for the reccommendation!

Hello to everyone! I've never been a member of a group like this (with a wall and everything), so please bear with me as I learn the ropes. I recognize a few familiar faces from other forums and can't wait to meet everyone else! I invite you to visit my blog Writing the Renaissance to learn a bit more about me, my work, and Renaissance France.
