- my pen name is Allene Joyce. My first two books are published under this name. In the future I will be using my real name of Joyce A Halvorsen as it's easier for my readers to find me. I am from Wisconsin and attended Edgewood College-Madison where I received my BS in English. I also worked for some time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Library System and was a teacher and for a time worked for a newspaper. Am retired and member of Plantation Writers' Guild at Leesburg Florida
