Hi! I have 3 gun questions. The hero in my WIP carries a Smith and Wesson .44 caliber Top Break revolver. In my research I found the reload time to be 27 seconds. How long do you think it would take if the character only had one arm?

And if my character that same gun set aside for repairs, what are the possibilities as to what could keep it from firing, loaded that wouldn't kill the person pulling the trigger.

Also, How much time is there between hearing the shot and being hit for an 1873 Winchester repeating rifle from a character who is a marksman making a distance shot?

All the info I come up with tells the history of these guns, how to clean them etc. What I want to know isn't in anything I've found so far.

Thanks

Kathy
